PPG member stories

Two members of our Patient-Public Group tell their stories on the Bowel Cancer UK website. Pete Wheatstone talks about the shock of being diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer in 2014 and Barbara Hibbert shares her experiences of living with a terminal diagnosis.

Our BCI UK Patient and Public Group is made up of patient advocates, many of whom have been affected by bowel cancer. The group engage with, and represent, the bowel cancer population and are at the heart of our work.

As well as belonging to our programme’s PPG, members are also involved in other research programmes, as well as being charity ambassadors, steering group members and volunteers.
