New frailty measures paper
New paper in the journal Age and Aging! Entitled, "A comparison of frailty measures in population-based data for patients with colorectal cancer", the paper compares different ways of assessing frailty in a national bowel cancer cohort. This matters because outcomes from bowel cancer vary by age and it is not clear how much of this variation is explained by frailty. The research found that there is not a single 'best' measure, because it depends on the requirements of each individual study. The paper is open access and can be read by everyone via the journal website. The PPG contributed to a lay summary of the paper that can be found on the Yorkshire Cancer Research Bowel Cancer Improvement Programme website.
