Successful course

On the 15 December we held an introduction to bowel cancer course for new team members and our Patient-Public Group. A highly experienced tutor, David O'Halloran, led the course and began with the fundamentals of cancer; the what, where and how. The afternoon was dedicated to the specifics of bowel cancer and ended with consideration of what the future might hold in terms of better prevention and treatment. The room was full to capacity and we have had excellent feedback. It was a highly interactive course and there was plenty of discussion with the attendees drawing on their own education and experience.

One attendee commented, "I would wholeheartedly recommend David's courses. He is a very engaging speaker and able to accommodate a diverse audience, including both patients and researchers".

We are planning further education and training events for next year.
