BCI UK receives funding from a range of charities including Cancer Research UK and Yorkshire Cancer Research. We are based in the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics and work closely with the National Cancer Registration and Analysis Service (NCRAS) at Public Health England and are forming links with relevant bodies in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our health economics theme is led from the University of Edinburgh and we are keen to interact with researchers from across the health and academic communities.
We are building on existing patient networks to deliver our programme. In particular, we are working closely with Bowel Cancer UK, use MY data and Independent Cancer Patients’ Voice (ICPV) to ensure patient support at all stages of our work.
We are also in contact with the NHS Bowel Cancer Screen Programme, the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland (ACPGBI) and the Royal Colleges of Surgeons, Pathologists, Radiologists, General Practice, and Nursing.
